Our primary objective is to ensure that all patients receive the best possible treatment, tailored to their needs. We offer various payment options, including free or heavily subsidized care, based on individual requirements. This approach instills trust and hope among our patients.
The institute comprises a comprehensive cancer center with a 545-bed hospital, a dedicated research division, a College of Oncological Sciences, and a division of preventive oncology. Our Molecular Oncology Department holds the distinction of being designated as a Center of Excellence by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.
While a portion of our hospital beds (35%) are paying beds, the majority of patients (about 50%) pay a nominal amount, and the remaining patients are provided with free boarding, lodging, and treatment. Additionally, our services extend beyond the main campuses in Adyar-Chennai. We operate a free hospice named Mahaveer Ashray in Sriperumbudur, Kanchipuram district, and conduct outreach cancer prevention and screening programs in six other districts. Moreover, we maintain a population-based cancer registry surveillance covering the entire Tamil Nadu region.
Annually, we manage approximately 15,000 new patients and provide follow-up care to around 150,000 patients. Our commitment to comprehensive cancer care and our extensive patient population highlights our dedication to addressing the challenges posed by cancer in our community.
