1st Jan. 1991: Barasat Cancer Research & Welfare Centre — A House of Hope for the poor specially, started its journey towards the horizon of the rising sun.
22nd Sep. 1992: Received Love-drenched blessings from Mother Teresa – Goddess-incarnate of Love & Service.
2nd Jun. 1997: Inauguration of 25 bedded Hospital with plant and provision for extension with all sorts of outdoor & indoor facilities.
23rd Aug. 2000: Laying the Foundation Stone of the Dept. of Radiotherapy & Nuclear Medicine By : Justice Shri Shyamal Kr. Sen, His Excellency the Governor of West Bengal.
15th Sep. 2003 : Inauguration of the Dept. of Transfusion Medicine (Blood Bank) By Hon’ble Shri Pratyush Mukhopadhyay, Health Minister, Govt. of West Bengal.
27th Feb. 2004: Inauguration of the Dept. of Radiotherapy & Nuclear Medicine By Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam – His Excellency the President of India in presence of Shri Biren J. Shah, His Excellency the Governor of West Bengal. The Hon’ble President Inaugurating the Radiotherapy Dept.
2005: From Kolkata to chicago. The occasion was the celebration of Banga Mela. On invitation the three-member team participated in the Mela, received optimistic responses from the participating delegates. The team came back with a stirring hope that a global forum could be organised to fight out CANCER.
Dec. 2005 : Mr. Seaboath, a leading Judge of a London Court, visited our New Project site and assured our Executive Members of some substantial assistance for the successful completion of the Multi-modality Cancer care Centre. A team of doctors and IT experts from USA had some fruitful talks with our Executive Committee Members for the successful implementation of our ambitious Cancer Hospital Project.
26th Oct. 2006 : Unique Recognition for Remarkable Achievements in all-round Cancer-Care Activities by The National Committee of India for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare.
