Radiology is a specialized field in medicine that utilizes various medical imaging technologies to diagnose and sometimes treat diseases. Originally, it focused on the use of electromagnetic energy emitted by X-ray machines and other radiation devices for obtaining visual information in medical imaging. However, with advancements and extensive training, radiologists now direct a wide range of imaging technologies, including ultrasound, computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), to diagnose and treat diseases.
